He was preceded in death by his father, James Walter Creel, Ill; a brother, Gerald Creel and a sister, Benita Ingalls. MARY ELIZABETH NORMAN CARUSO NEW ORLEANS Mary Elizabeth Norman Caruso, 45, formerly of Hattiesburg, died Sept. 1, 2006, in New Orleans. Services were Sept.

6 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis with burial in Coaltown Cemetery. Mrs. Caruso worked at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. Survivors include a daughter, Clare Caruso; her mother, Bertha Fontenot; a sister, Claudia LaBue and two brothers, Derick Norman and Dwayne Norman. She was preceded in death by her father, Harlin Norman.

Heilman worked in Asset and Debt Recovery with Sanders and Douglas of Tucson, and served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Dee Heilman of Oak Grove; two sons, Blake Bullock of Collins and Jacob Bullock of Oak Grove; a daughter, Teresa Heilman of Tucson, his mother, Helen E. Heilman; a brother, Dick Heilman of Las Vegas, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl R.

Heilman and a broth- er, Ron Heilman. STEVE E. TURNER HATTIESBURG Steve E. Turner, 63, a native of Winnfield, died Sept. 6, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Funeral services were Sept. 9 at the Jordan Hill United Pentecostal Church in Winnfield, La. A memorial service will be held in Hattiesburg at a later date. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Grace A. Turner; his three children, Stacie Turner and Matt O'Brien, David D.

and Bobbie Turner and Dawn C. Turner; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca A. Broome and husband, Randy and Cathy Pickles and husband, Steve; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Laverne Hammons and a brother-in-law, Vanice J. VIRGIE L.

DAVIS KINDER, LA. Virgie L. Davis, 92, died Sept. 6, 2006, in Christus St. Patrick Hospital, Lake Charles, La.

Services were Sept. 9 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis with burial in Boone's Cemetery. A native of Purvis, Mrs. Davis resided at Kinder Retirement Home in Kinder, La. for the past eight years.

Survivors include four sons, Dexter and Norma Madden of Tujunga, Don and Lorelle Davis of Iowa, Emmit and Mary Jane Davis of Subic Bay, Phillipines and Alan Davis of Wiggins; three daughters, Bonnie and Emmit Yawn of Oak Grove, Carla and Atif Davis of Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia and Roxanne and Jason Parker of Wiggins; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 5 greatgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Davis and two daughters, Alma Suer and Billie Joyce Dunning. ALAN GOULD HATTIESBURG Alan Gould, 62, died Sept. 5, 2006, at his home in Hattiesburg. Graveside services were Sept.

11in Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, Texas. Retired, Mr. Gould was selfemployed as an accountant. He also retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Major after 20 years of service to his country, during which he served in Vietnam.

He was a member of University Baptist Church and the Pine Belt Lions Club, both in Hattiesburg. Survivors include his wife, Carol Gould of Hattiesburg; a son, Keith Gould of Hattiesburg; his father, Alan Gould, Sr. of Jekyll Island, Georgia; a sister, Judy Campbell of Orlando, Fla. and a brother, Tom Gould of Mechanicsburg, Penn. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Gould and a brother, Brian Gould. LENNIE MADERIA MAGEE HATTIESBURG Lennie Maderia Magee, 96, died Sept. 6, 2006 at Windham House in Hattiesburg.Services were Sept. 9 at Oakvale Methodist Church with burial in Oakvale Cemetery. Mrs.

Magee was a homemaker and a member of Sleigo Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Faler of Hattiesburg; a brother, Don Magee of Columbia; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. BONIN HATTIESBURG A.0. Bonin, 85, died Aug. 31, 2006, at Bedford Care enter. Graveside services were Sept. 2 at Providence Cemetery.

The Rev. Bob Robinson and the Rev. Mike Lee officiated. Mr. Bonin was retired, having worked for 32 years in shipping with Schlumberger Oil Company.

He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen "Beth" Bonin of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Brenda Ure of Charlotte, three sons, Pat Bonin of Magnolia, Texas, Mike Bonin of Oklahoma and Marlin Bonin of Houston, Texas; three stepdaughters, Connie Romaguera of Independence, Carolyn Jones of Franklinton, La. and Catherine Brindley of Baton Rouge, a stepson, Maj.

Malcolm Savage of Birmingham, a sister, Hazel Holderrieth of Tomball, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Byron Kieschnick, Brett Corkern, Spencer Jones, Brandon Savage, Trey Short and Gregory Short BILLIE RAY BROOKS BROOKLYN Billie Ray Brooks, 69, died Sept. 4, 2006 at his home in Brooklyn. Services were Sept. 7 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with burial in Simmons Cemetery in Carnes.

Mr. Brooks worked as Maintenance Supervisor for Paul B. Johnson State Park and was a member of Brooklyn Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Betty Brooks of Brooklyn; two daughters, Marceta Dillon of Petal and Sherry Jefferson of Sunrise; two stepsons, Robert Geautreaux of Texas and Jimmy Geautreaux of Oak Grove; 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. BULLOCK DIXIE David L. Bullock, 47, died Sept. 4, 2006, at his home in the Dixie Community. Graveside services were Sept. 7 at Highland Cemetery.

The Rev. Dennis Rhoads officiated. Mr. Bullock worked for NAPA Auto Parts in sales for the past 17 years and was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Cherie Bullock of Dixie Community; his parents, Howard L.

and Betty Sue Bullock of Oak Grove; a brother, Roy E. Bullock of Oak Grove; and four sisters, Susan Grantham of Moselle, Gail Issaac and Norma Bullock, both of Oak Grove and Sherry Rawls of Sumrall. Pallbearers were David Allseitz, Kevin Allseitz, Steven Allseitz, Richard Sullivan, Audie Slade and Murry Noblin. GARY SPEED MOSELLE Gary Speed, 52, died Sept. 4, 2006, at South Central Regional Hospital.

Services were Sept. 8 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with burial in Highland Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Rhoads officiated. Mr.

Speed worked for the past 20 years as a pipe fitter with York International. Survivors include his wife, Gaby Speed of Moselle; two brothers, Gerald Speed of Terrell, Texas and Bud Speed of Plano, Texas and three sisters, Brenda Fore and Wanda Simmons, both of Gulfport and Linda Porche of Carriere. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Maggie Speed. SHERRIE LEE YELVERTON SUMRALL Sherrie Lee Yelverton, 48, died Sept.

9, 2006 at Forrest General Hospital. Graveside services were Sept. 13. The Rev. Mark Vincent officiated.

Mrs. Yelverton worked as a transcriptionist in the medical field. She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Biloxi. Survivors include her husband, Joey Yelverton of Sumrall; a daughter, Marilyn F. Roche of Biloxi; two sons, Bobby Fenner of Sacramento, Calif.

and Anthony Fenner of Biloxi; a sister, Viola Brown of Biloxi; two brothers, Robert Alexander of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Jeff Alexander of Washington D.C.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olli Mae Alexander and Curtis Alexander, Sr. and two brothers, Curtis Alexander, Jr. and Marty Alexander. CHARLES EDWARD LEE PURVIS Charles Edward Lee, 39, died Sept.

7, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were Sept. 11 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Jones officiated.

Mr. Lee worked as a cutter in the timber industry. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Lee of Purvis; a son, Eddy Simmons of Meridian; a daughter, Brandi Burns of Hattiesburg; his mother and stepfather, Glenda and William Lee of Columbia; three sisters, Ruth Ann Clark and Melissa Clark, both of Lumberton and Rachel Warden of Carnes and two brothers, Jerry Lee and Brian Reed, both of Lumberton. JERRY ALBERT CREEL WIGGINS Jerry Albert Creel, 48, died Aug.

29, 2006, at his home in Wiggins. Graveside services were Sept. 5, at Highland Cemetery. Mr. Creel was Baptist.

Mr. Stewart was warehouse supervisor for Mather-Mud Company and served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a charter member and deacon of 38th Avenue Baptist Church and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Fleta Stewart of Oak Grove; a son, David L. Stewart of Petal; two daughters, Melanie Singler of Columbia and Alicia Dunaway of Oak Grove; three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to 38th Avenue Baptist Church. FAYE C. EPPLING HATTIESBURG Faye C. Eppling, 66, died Sept. 7, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center.

Memorial services were Sept. 12 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg. The Rev. Jimmy Davis officiated. Mrs.

Eppling was a licensed social worker. A graduate of Southern Miss, she also attended LSU and Belhaven. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Charles Eppling of Hattiesburg; her mother, Francis Knight of Brandon; a brother, Guy and Dot Owens of Brandon and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Ott Loposer.

E.R. GRAHAM RUNNELSTOWN XIE in the Runnelstown Cemetery." Mr. Graham was owner of Dick Graham Plumbing and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Graham of Runnelstown; two sons, Michael Graham and Chris Graham, both of Petal; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. HAZEL BOND POWELL E.R. "Dick" Graham, 72, died Aug. 29, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital. Services, were 10 Luft, Hulett-Winstead Chapel with burial- OLOH Hazel Bond Powell, 92, died Sept.

1, 2006, at her residence. Services were Sept. 5 at First Baptist Church of Oloh with burial in the Oloh Cemetery. Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Oloh.

Survivors include a son, Edwin "Buster" Powell of Oloh; three daughters, Mary Harris of Round Rock, Texas, Johnie Motel of Dallas and 1 Sarah Boyd of Sumrall; 10 grandchildren, 20 dren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Powell and four sons, Stuart, Rudah, James and Arthur Powell. SAMMY McHENRY ELWOOD LUMBERTON McHenry Elwood, 100, Sammy died Sept. 2, 2006, at Oxford Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Elwood was a retired Airdale Show Dog breeder, member of the Baptist Faith, a life member of D.A.V. and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 2539 in Gulfport.

Survivors include two sons, Bro. Jack L. Lloyd of Lumberton and Eldon Ellis Elwood of Salem, one grandson; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Llewellyn Frizell Lloyd and Eldon Elwood. ROGER B.

HOWELL HATTIESBURG Roger B. Howell, 73, died Sept. 2, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were Sept. 7 at Hulett-Winstead Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Mr. Howell was a retired engineering manager for Bell South and retired brigadier general with the Mississippi Air National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Helen Ruth Howell of Hattiesburg; four sons, Greg Howell of Arlington, Texas, Gary Howell of Portland, Scott Howell of Sumrall and Michael Howell of Hattiesburg; a sister, Dorothy Gibson of Key Largo, two brothers, Dr. Thomas Howell and Jimmy Howell, both of Laurel; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Howell and a son, Charles David Howell.

JUDGE SHERIDAN PHILIP HUNT JR. HATTIESBURG Judge Sheridan Philip Hunt 72, died Aug. 23, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were Aug. 25 at Hulett-Winstead Chapel.

Judge Hunt was a judge for the Office of Hearings and Appeals, and a member of Sacred Heart Church. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hunt of Hattiesburg; a son, David Hunt of Washington, D.C. and three grandchildren. S. SGT.

RICHARD A. ZEHENDER HATTIESBURG S. Sgt. Richard A. Bo" Zehender, U.S.

Army 48, died Sept. 5, 2006, at Forrest al Hospital. Services were Sept. 9 at Crestview Baptist Church in Petal with burial in the Green's Creek Cemetery. S.

Sgt. Zehender was retired from the Miss. Army National Guard, a member of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Sharon P.

Zehender of Hattiesburg; a son, Monte Zehender of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Jessica Garrett of Sumrall; a stepdaughter, Sonya Frazier of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Rebecca Sue Matthews of Glendale, Margaret Janet Perkins of toledo, Ohio and Zarata Jean Love of Waldrow, two brothers, Michael C.
