Vera Sumrall Blakely, 95, formerly of Hattiesburg, died Feb. 28, 2007, at West Monroe Guest House. Graveside services were March 3 at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Blakely was a homemaker and member of Bay Street Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Frank Murray Blakely of West Monroe, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Palmer's Children's Home in Columbus. JULIA CONN ROSS HATTIESBURG Julia Conn Ross, 80, died Feb. 27, 2007, at Wesley Medical Center. Graveside services were March 1 at Roseland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, E.H. "Jack" Ross Jr. of Hattiesburg; three sons, Dr.

Randolph Jackson Ross and Richard Conn Ross, both of Hattiesburg and Earnest H. Ross III of Tuscaloosa, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. OMA HUIE RHODES JR. HATTIESBURG Oma Huie Rhodes 85, died March 1, 2007, at Wesley Medical Center. Services were March 3 at Bay Street Presbyterian Church with entombment in the Roseland Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Rhodes was a retired builder and developer, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Rhodes of Hattiesburg; a son, "Bones" Rhodes of Pass Christian; a daughter, Cathy Van Devender of Ridgeland; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Palmer's Children's Home in Columbus.

HAZELLE S. WHITE HATTIESBURG Hazelle S. White, 97, died March 1, 2007, at Hattiesburg Convalescent Center. Services were March 5 at Trinity Episcopal Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs.

White was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Anne's Guild and the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in the State of Mississippi. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Hugh C. White, III of White Stone, a daughter, Virginia W.

St. John Feb. 27 at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Jusselly retired from BancorpSouth and was a member of Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, James S. "Jimmy" Jusselly III of Jackson; two daughters, Mary Catherine Williams of Clinton and JoAnn Powell of Roswell, a brother, Gene Brown of Boston, five grandchildren, and five great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Jusselly Jr. Memorials may be made to the Abby Rogers Civitan Camp for Citizens with Mental Retardation, co Bob Johnson, 4 Alex Drive, Hattiesburg, Miss.

39402. BONNIE LEE FAIRCHILD STRINGER HATTIESBURG Bonnie Lee Fairchild Stringer, 90, died Feb. 25, 2007, at Southwest Hospital in McComb. Services were March 1 at Hulett-Winstead Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs.

Stringer was a homemaker and member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Charlie Stringer of McComb and Ted Stringer of Arcadia, three sisters, Ardell Fairchild Thrash of Moselle, Lonez Fairchild Stringer of Hattiesburg and I veil Fairchild Sanford of Seminary; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildi en. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. B.H. Stringer and a daughter, Billie Sue Stringer Smith.

HUGH SPRINGSTON, SR. PETAL Hugh Springston, 78, died March 2, 2007, at Mobile Infirmary. Graveside services were March 6 at Biloxi National Cemetery. Retired, Mr. Springston was a tax appraiser for Forrest County.

He also retired from the United States Air Force having served during Korea and Vietnam. He was A member of Lacy Kelly VFWTost 306. Survivors include a son, Hugh Springston, Jr. of Eight Mile, a daughter, Jolane Anderson of Brooklyn; a sister, Jean Eller of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Springston and a daughter, Gwendolyn Springston.

JOE DOWNS HATTIESBURG Joe Downs, 83, died Feb. 26, 2007, at bis home in Hattiesburg. Services were March 1 at Dixie Baptist Church with burial in Brown Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Holder officiated.

Mr. Downs was the owner of Down's Amusement Company and a member of Dixie Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patricia Downs of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Cynthya McCarter of Purvis; two sons, David Downs of Dixie Community and Jon Mark Downs of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Rose Downs; sisters, Gladys Bates and Ophelia Bush; and a brother, Edgar Downs. SANDRA SHEDD TUCKER SUMRALL Sandra Shedd Tucker, 48, died March 3, 2007, at her home in Sumrall.

Services were March 7at Lighthouse Baptist Church with burial in the Grantham Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Purvis officiated. Mrs. Tucker was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Tucker of Sumrall; a daughter, Jennifer McKirmey of Seminary; her parents, Billy and Frances Simmons of Sumrall; six brothers, Eddie Youngblood of Brandon, David Youngblood of Hattiesburg, Billy Simmons, Jr. of Dallas, Joe Simmons and Michael Youngblood and Mathew Simmons, all of Sumrall; two sisters, Becky McGaugh of Oak Grove and Teresa Simmons of Dallas; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ryan Watson, Josh Norris, Joe Fairley, Brock Hutson, Ritchie Womack, Jerry Williams, Dewight Williams, and Matt Simmons. several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Mr.

Perry was preceded in death by bis wife, Blanch Johnson Perry and a grandson, Spc. James "Eddie" Corley. RICHARD S. MCKINLEY, SR. HATTIESBURG Richard S.

McKinley, 68, died Feb. 28, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were March 3, 2007, at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with burial in Highland Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Tapp officiated.

Mr. McKinley was a construction inspector with the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He served in the United States Navy, was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Moose Lodge in Hattiesburg. Survivors include a son, Rick McKinley of Petal; a daughter, Renee McKinley Smith of Petal; a sister, Patricia Bass of Mexico Beach, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.V.

and Wylton McKinley and a sister, Dorothy Tyner. Pallbearers' will be Curly Stafford, Joe Jeffcoat, Dee Farris, Cameron Clemts, Brandon Clemts and David Smith with Remington Clemts serving as honorary pallbearer. MYLIO KRAJA HATTIESBURG Mylio Kraja, 86, died Feb. 25, 2007, at his home in Hattiesburg. Graveside services were Feb.

28 at Moore Funeral Chapel followed by burial in Biloxi. National Cemetery. Father Ken Ramon-Landry officiated. Retired, Mr. Kraja, was executive director of the American Legion Washington office.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 24. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Kraja of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Debra Bennett of Smithsburg, a son, James Kraja of Brandon, Florida; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. DANIEL JOSEPH ENGLERT Hattiesburg Daniel Joseph Englert, infant, died Feb. 21, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital.

Graveside servic LANCE RIELS PETAL Lance Riels, 29, died March 2, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were March 5 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal with burial in McKenzie-Myers Family Cemetery in Petal. Mr. Riels worked in sales at Puckett Rents. He was a graduate of Petal High School and the University of Southern Mississippi and a member of First Baptist Church in Petal.

Survivors include his parents, Delano and Margaret Riels of Petal; two brothers, Brian Riels and Tyler Riels, both of Petal; his grandmothers, Audrey Riels of Sanford Community and Mary K. Miller of Petal; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Sennett Riels and Alvin Miller. MAC SMITH PURVIS Mac Smith, 71, of Purvis, who died March 2, 2007, at Wesley Medical Center. Services were' March 5 at Okahola Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The Rev. Eugene Haden, the Rev. Todd Blackwell and the Rev. Scott Murphy officiated. Mr.

Smith was a brick mason with Smith Brothers Masonry for more than 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force during Korea and was a member of Okahola Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Haden Smith of Purvis; a daughter, Canada and Joe Olmi of Oak Grove; three sons, Mark and Angie Smith, Lane and Carta Smith and Dana and Misty Smith, all of Purvis; his mother, Ada Smith of Purvis; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Smith and a grandson, Strider Smith. DAVID RAY PERRY David Ray P8rry, formerly of Petal, died Feb.

25, 2007, in Ocoee, Term. Graveside services were March 6 at Highland Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Millie Thompson of Ocoee, a son, David Perry of Petal; three stepdaughters; two stepsons; five granddaughters, twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and HASKELL WILLIAMSON SUMRALL Haskell "Ted" Williamson, 50, died Feb. 24, 2007, at his residence. Services were Feb.

27 at Hulett-Winstead Sumrall Chapel with burial in the Williamson Cemetery. Mr. Williamson was self-employed in construction and was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include bis wife, Ruby Williamson of Sumrall; a son, Jamie Williamson of Sumrall; a daughter, Lorraine McKissack of Petal; his mother, Ida Mae Williamson of Sumrall; six sisters, Barbara Rainey, Jeannette Sterling, Evelyn Sargent, Gay Nell Smith and Beverly Parker, all of Sumrall and Dymple Craft of Sanford; two brothers, Roger "Creepy" Williamson and Joey Williamson, both of Sumrall and two grandchildren.
