Services were April 23 at White Funeral Home in Lumberton with Bro. Darnell Bryant officiating. Burial was in Rouse Field Cemetery.

Mrs. Dubose was a member of East Main Baptist Church, a 1 retired private sitter and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. David Jacob Dubose, and a brother, Elmo Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Alice Lockhart of Baton Rouge, three sons, Mack Dubose and Jake Dubose, both of Lumberton and John Dubose of Hattiesburg; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

ANGELA B. ANDREWS LUMBERTON Angela B. Andrews, 62, died April 18, 2005, at her residence. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs.

Andrews was retired as general manager of MMI Inc. and was a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Andrews. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanine Williams of Shannon; two sisters, Patricia McNeece and Ruby Dell Mabus, both of Lumberton; and one grandchild. DORIS THOMAS DRENNAN POPLARVILLE Doris Thomas Drennan, 88, died April 21, 2005, in Poplarville.

Services were April 23 at White Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bevon Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in Restertown Cemetery in Poplarville. A member of Derby Baptist Church, Mrs. Drennan was a homemaker and was retired from Movie Star Lingerie Inc.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Thomas; her second husband, L.A. Drennan, and a daughter Darla Skipper. Survivors include a daughter, Mary D. Skinner of Biloxi; two sons, Henry "Rudy" Thomas of Hattiesburg and Mark Thomas of Poplarville; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. BOBBY RAY "BOB" FINLEY RICHTON Bobby Ray "Bob" Finley, 69, died April 18, 2005, at his residence.

Services were April 20 at Jones Son Funeral Home with the Rev. C. Holliday and the Rev. Jerry Rowley Jr. officiating.

Burial was in Cochran Cemetery. Mr. Finley was a poultry farmer and was retired from the Process Tool Co. in Morgan City, La. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Finley of Piave and Jessie Darryl Finley of Richton; a daughter, Sandra McCardle of Oloh; a sister, Bradis Crocker of Ovett; three brothers, James Finley of Lucedale, J.C.

Finley of Helena, Miles Finley of Pascagoula; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Daniel Ray Finley, Kenneth Ray Finley Brennan Gilmore, Charles Busby, Michael Walley Matthew Gilmore and Bill Waites. PEARLIE CONWAY YOUNG RICHTON Pearlie Conway Young, 82, died April 18, 2005, at Perry County General Hospital. Services were April 20 at Jones Son Chapel with the Rev. John Blaine, the Rev.

Randy Miller and the Rev. Rayford Davis officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. A longtime resident of Perry County, Mrs. Young was a homemaker and member of Runnelstown Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, A.J. Conway and Donald Conway, both of Richton; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. SIRL FREEMAN PETAL Sirl Freeman, 68, died April 20, 2005, at Forrest General Hospital. Services were April 25 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal with the Rev. Terry Robertson officiating.

Burial was in Bennie Hensarling Cemetery in Perry County Mr. Freeman was a mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Rosezann Freeman of Petal; a son, David Freeman of Petal; six daughters, April Freeman of Petal, Sabrina Dunn of Laurel, Sodonia Welborn of Ovet, Elaine Herrington and Kathy Holder, both of Runnelstown and Renae Wilson of Alaska; four sisters, Rosie Mae Jarrell of Moss Point, Ann Moore of Wiggins, Dora Prine of Petal and Stella Mae Godwin of Ft. White, FL; a brother, Talmadge Freeman of Richton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. SUSAN B.

STREET HATTIESBURG Susan B. Street, 82, died April 18, 2005, at her home. Graveside services were held April 22 at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Street was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Harry E. Street of Hattiesburg; a son, Thomas Allan Street of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a daughter, Barbara Street of Colleyville, Texas; a sister, Helen Eckert of Berkeley, CA; and two great-grandchildren. GEORGE H. NEEL HATTIESBURG George H.

Neel, 86, died April 21, 2005, at his home. Services were April 23 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial was in Roseland Park. Mr.

Neel was the founder and former owner of Electronics in Hattiesburg. He was a member of United Commercial Travelers, a 32nd Degree Mason and Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Neel and a brother, Gordon "Starchy" Neel. Survivors include two sons, George M.

"Buddy" Neel and William R. "Reggie" Neel, both of Petal; a daughter, Susan Sansing of Petal; a sister, Katherine Merwine of Oak Harbour, Washington; a brother, Granvil Billy Neel of Alberta, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Gore, Ed Langton, Rutger Howell, Glenn Sansing, Robert Neel, Jason Neel, Joe Allsup and Tom Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were members of The Hut Sunday School Class of Main Street Baptist Church. JOSEPH CHARLES CARROLL SHREVEPORT, LA Joseph Charles Carroll, 81, died April 14, 2005, at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA.

Graveside services were April 18 at Roseland Park with Father Tommy Conway officiating. Mr. Carroll was disabled and was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Carrol and Margaret E.

O'Conner Carroll. Survivors include a host of cousins. BOBBY COLE PETAL Bobby Cole, 61, died April 15, 2005. Services were April 18 at Sunrise Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Hawthorne.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Cole was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church of Grandon, MO, and was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Austin and Ella Marie Cole; a brother, Nolan Cole; and a sister, Alvina Sullivan. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Ray Cole, Jr.

and Christian Austin Cole, both of Columbia, MO and Jerry Cole of IL; five daughters, Tammy Nichols of Diamond Head, Tania Autry of Petal, Anita Windham of CO, Lillian "Dinky" Cole of Sacramento, CA and Cliecy Turnbow of six stepchildren, Melinda Elder and Debbie Leonard, both of Doniphan, MO, Jenny White and Christina Benefield, both of Marble Hill, MO; Kevin Walters of Ill. and Maynard "Punky" Walters of N.Y.; 34 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 20 step-grandchildren. RAYFORD LAVELLE REID LUMBERTON Rayford Lavelle Reid, 67, died April 21, 2005, in Hattiesburg. Services were April 23 at White Funeral Home in Lumberton with the Rev. Curtis Cain officiating.

Burial was in Talowah Cemetery. Mr. Reid was a member of Talowah Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge in Hattiesburg, Rock Hill Hunting Club and was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Dauzell Reid; and two brothers, Arnie and John Reid. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Williamson Reid; two sons, Wesley Ray Reid of Purvis and Joseph Wayne Reid of Tylertown; two sisters, Patsy Baacewell and Florence Bullock, both of Lumberton; seven brothers, Lonnie Reid, Bobby Reid, Billy Ed Reid, and Roger Dale Reid, all of Lumberton, Edmond Bond of Talowah, Henry Earl Bond of Purvis and Carl Reid of Runnelstown.

MARTHA VIRGINIA HOWARD CRAIG HATTIESBURG Martha Virginia Howard Craig, 81, died April 16, 2005, at Portsbridge Hospice in Macon, Ga. Services were April 23 at Hulett- Senior 2006 Backgrounds Available Portrait Express 601545-1908 Winstead Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Craig was a homemaker and member of 38th Ave. Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Nelson Craig of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Jeanne Craig Wilson of Slidell, and Martha Lynn Craig Williams of Macon, and one grandson. AMY "JEAN" SIMMONS PURVIS Amy "Jean" Simmons, 65, died April 15, 2005, at her residence. Services were April 19 at HulettWinstead Purvis Chapel with burial in Pleasant Home Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons was a retired cook for the Lamar County Schools and a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Mae Hayes of Purvis. Survivors include her husband, Roy C. Simmons of Purvis; two daughters, Regina Ann Williams and Renee Valentine of Purvis; a sister, Patsy Gail Beasley of Sumrall; and five grandchildren. HAROLD LAVON VOSS PURVIS Harold Lavon Voss, 78, died April 15 at his residence. Services were April 18 at Coaltown Baptist Church with burial in the Coaltown Cemetery.

A construction and maintenance worker, Mr. Voss was a member of Coaltown Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Engle Voss. Survivors include a son, Jeffery Lane Voss of Purvis; a daughter, Nelda Voss Freeman of Hattiesburg; a sister, Irene Thompson of Meridian; a brother, J.M.

Voss of Purvis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. ALTA C. RYAN DIXIE Alta C. Ryan died April 16 at her residence. Services were April 18 at Dixie Baptist Church with burial in the Dixie Cemetery.

Mrs. Ryan was a member of Dixie Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss Ryan. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. RONALD T.

BARR PURVIS Ronald T. Barr, 48, died April 16 at Forrest General Hospital. Services were April 19 at Purvis United Methodist Church with burial in Coaltown Cemetery. Mr. Barr was an independent distributor for Little Debbie products and was a member of Purvis United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nevil E. Barr Sr. Survivors include his mother, Betty Barr of Purvis; and two brothers, Nevil E. Barr Jr. of Hattiesburg and David M.

Barr of Mobile. WILLIAM D. "W.D." McCRAW BASSFIELD William D. "W.D." McCraw, 82, died April 16, 2005, at his residence. PETAL Florist Est.

1958 Michael Thornton 107 Morris St. Petal 583-3139 Nights Weekends 583-1620 Services were April 18 at Victory Baptist Church with burial in the Double Churches Cemetery. Mr. McCraw was a selfemployed painter and decorator. He attended Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Bullock McCraw of Bassfield; a daughter, Judy Wilson of Purvis; a stepdaughter, Karen Weldy of Hattiesburg; two stepsons, Buddy Bullock of Bassfield and Ricky Bullock of Nashville; a sister, Elder Light of Tyler, Texas; a half-sister, Erma Buckley of Columbia and a number of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. SARA BATSON RIGGS HATTIESBURG Sara Batson Riggs, 88, died April 18, 2005, at her residence. Services were April 20 at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Riggs was a homemaker and member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Riggs, Sr. Survivors include a son, Frank E. Riggs Jr. of Atlanta; a daughter, Sherry E.

Davis of Hattiesburg; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or Westminster Presbyterian Church, 115 North 25th Hattiesburg, MS 39401. FRANK ODOM SR. HATTIESBURG Frank Odom 64, died April 20, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center.

Services were April 22 at HulettWinstead Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Odom was a retired Hattiesburg firefighter and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Patricia McCormick Odom of Hattiesburg; five sons, Frank Odom George Odom, Paul Odom, Tim Odom, all of Hattiesburg and Terrll Wayne Odom of Omaha, two stepdaughters, Kelli McCormick of Hattiesburg and Lauri McDonald of Dallas; a sister, Laverne Scarbrough of Gulfport; a brother, Buford Odom of Hattiesburg; and five grandchildren. DONNA JEAN TERRELL LUMBERTON Donna Jean Terrell, 49, died April 21, 2005, at Central Miss.

Medical Center. Memorial services were held April 24 at Talowah Methodist Church. Mrs. Terrell was a homemaker and member of N. 31st Ave.

Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and June Kingsmill. Survivors include a son, Jason Kingsmill of Lumberton; and a brother, Charles Kingsmill of Newman, Ga. KATHERINE COOPER PURVIS Katherine Cooper, 69, died April 22, 2005, at her residence. Services were April 25 at Hulett-Winstead Purvis Chapel with burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Cooper was a retired bookkeeper and organist at Purvis United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her father, Judson Loveday; two brothers, Marshall Ray Loveday and David Loveday. Survivors include her husband, Wilmer Cooper Sr. of Purvis; a son, Wilmer Cooper Jr.

of Vaiden; a daughter, Sheila Ann Hillman of Richton; her mother, Norma Loveday of Knoxville; four sisters, Mary Tallent and Jewel Shaw, both of Telico Plains, Tenn. and Brenda McClain and Norma Norman, both of Knoxville; two brothers, Charles Loveday of Mortons Gap, Ky. and Bill Loveday, both of Knoxville; and five grandchildren. DR. JIM CAVENY HATTIESBURG Dr.

Jim Caveny, 68, died April 21, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center. Dr. Caveny was chair of the Math Department for 10 years at the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as Dean of the College of Science and Technology. He received his doctorate at the University of Kentucky. Survivors include his wife, Regina Smits Caveny of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Amy Caveny and Jennifer Caveny, both of Hattiesburg and Deanna Caveny of Charleston, SC; a son, Martin Caveny of Hattiesburg; a sister, Joann Caveny Lineberry of Kings Mountain, NC; a brother Jon C.

Caveny, Jr. of Kings Mountain, NC; three grandchildren, Brian, Chelsea and Evan. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society. CYRUS "SONNY" HERBERT HATTIESBURG Cyrus "Sonny" Herbert, 57, died April 20, Forrest General. Services were April 25 at McLaurin Baptist Church.

Mr. Herbert was an independent truck driver and was a member of McLaurin Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ouida and Bently Thomas and a sister, Hazel Martin. Survivors include his wife, Betty Hebert of Hattiesburg; two sons, Cyrus Joseph Hebert, III; and Joseph William Riley of Texas City, TX; a daughter, Julie Ann Riley of Dickenson, TX, three sisters, Linda Green of Snellville, GA; Delores Gregory of Dexter, MO; Marion Gros of N.C. and three grandchil- dren.

BETTY FARRIS HATTIESBURG Betty Farris, 74, died April 22, 2005, at her home. Services were April 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Tommy Conway and Dr. Jeff Clark officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Farris was office manager for Farris Brothers for 25 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Farris. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Farris of Carbondal, CO; Billy Farris of Baton Rouge, LA and Bart Farris of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Carol Anne Palermo of Atlanta, GA; a sister, June Pavuk of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Joe Pavuk, Jimmy Farris, Bob Martin, Jimmy Harrison, Bill Doherty and Michael Matthews.
