He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Hutchinson Saucier; his father, Marshall Saucier and his mother, Ruth Landers Saucier. VIRGINIA MALONE BARNES PETAL Virginia Malone Barnes, 78, died Oct.

19, 2005, at Bedford Care Center. Services were Oct. 23 at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roseland Park Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Petal Harvey Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael 1 H. Barnes and Hugh B. Barnes, a daughter, Jane Loflin; a sister, Avis Taylor; a brother, Evern E. Malone; seyen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr.

Guthrie, 79, died Oct. 2005, at her residence. Services were Oct. 23 at Providence Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs.

Guthrie was retired from Faulkner Concrete and Pipe Company and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Pace was a retired service technician, an avid outdoorsman, a Vietnam Army Veteran and member of the Baptist faith. 17, 2005, at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Mo. Services were Oct. 21 at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Providence Cemetery. A retired teacher with the Forrest County School System, Mrs. Keen was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Keen Kitchin of Bolivar, one grandson and one great-grand-21, daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Keen. BRENT SYLVESTER BEAUMONT Brent Sylvester, 30, died Oct. 17, 2005, in Kentucky. Services were Oct. 21 at Jones and Son in Beaumont with Bro. A.W.

Kirkland and Bro. Jerry Overstreet officiating. Burial was in Fairhope Cemetery in Beaumont. Mr. Sylvester was a 1994 graduate of Perry Central High School and a lifelong resident of the Arlington Community in Beaumont.

He was a welder. Survivors include his mother, Gloria Sylvester of Beaumont; a son, Gabriel Brent Sylvester of Ellisville; a daughter, Ana Cate Sylvester of Ellisville; two sisters, Barbara Biglan of Prentiss and Kathy Sylvester of Bassfield; a brother, Donnie Sylvester of Beaumont. JEFFERSON WAYNE ANDERSON MOSELLE Jefferson Wayne "Coot" Anderson, 72, died Oct. 17, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of the Rainey Community, Mr. Anderson was a John Deere tractor mechanic, the Beat 4 tractor, mechanic in Jones County and a member of Shelton Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Audis Anderson of Moselle; a son, Russell Anderson of Moselle; a daughter, Janice and Vernon Poole of Moselle; two sisters, Deseree Jensen of Slidell, La.

and Ophelia "Mutt" Shakelford of Baton Rouge, a brother, Dean Anderson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Issac and Lorilard Anderson; a brother, John Edward Anderson and two sisters, Ruby Faye Riels and Georgie Mae Thompson. 25, 2005, at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Services were Oct. 20 at Jones Son Funeral Home in Moselle with Bro. Neil Davis, Bro. Donnie Barber and Bro.

Jimmy Barber. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was an iron worker in construction and member of Faithway Baptist Church in Moselle. He served in the U.S.

Army during peacetime. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Jackson of Petal; two sons, Timothy "T.J." Jackson Jr. and Charles "C.J." Jackson, both of Petal; four daughters, Falyn Oliver of Columbia, Kayla Dennis of Union and Amber Ivy and Megan Jackson, both of Petal; his mother, Lola Jackson of Moselle; three sisters, Phyllis Bradley, Belinda Welch and Michelle Jackson, all of Moselle; a brother, Bobby Jackson Jr. of Seminary; his paternal grandmother, Naomi Jackson of Moselle and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Samuel and Noah Jackson and his father, Bobby "Roster" Jackson.

BILLY JOE KILPATRICK LUMBERTON Joe Oct. at Billy Kilpatrick, 73, died 15, 2005, his Services were Oct. 19 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis with burial in Talowah Community cemetery. Mr.

Kilpatrick: was a truck driver and served in the Army and Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Jonell Kilpatrick of Lumberton; three sons, Randy Kilpatrick, Jeff Kilpatrick and Scott Kilpatrick, all of Whitney, Texas; a daughter, Brigitte Rutledge of Lumberton; a brother, John C. Kilpatrick of Arlington, TX; 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Elizabeth Todd.

VERA JORDAN ELLISVILLE Vera Jordan, 79, died Oct. 15, 2005, in Baton Rouge, La. Services were Oct. 20 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal with Bro. John Bryant officiating.

Burial was in Morriston Cemetery. Mrs. Jordan was a switchboard operator for BellSouth, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, R.J. Jordan of Richton; a son, Jay Jordan of Ellisville; a daughter, Jordana Smith of Petal; a sister, Dot Means of Puckett; two brothers, John Hartzog and Gene Hartzog, both of Jackson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers, were male members of the Eastern Star. JAMES THOMAS CROSBY OAK GROVE James Thomas Crosby, 65, died Oct. 22, 2005, at his residence in Oak Grove. Services were Oct. 25 at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Crosby was an operator at Hercules and surrendered to the ministry in 1987 at Midway First Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Crosby of Oak Grove; two daughters, Lisa Thompson of Bellevue and Amy Cox of Oak Grove; five sisters, Sylvia Cameron, Sandra Scott, Linda Matheny, Nelson Wilson, all of Oak Grove and Barbara Berry of Dallas, N.C.; five brothers, Bobby J. Crosby of Hattiesburg Maxwell Crosby of Baton Rouge, Kenneth Crosby and Leonard Crosby, both of Oak Grove and Jerry Crosby of Lester, AL; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

PATRICIA SUGGS SMITH SANTA ANA, CALIF. Patricia "Pat" Suggs Smith, 58, formerly of Hattiesburg, died Sept. 9, 2005, in Santa Ana, CA. Graveside services were held recently at Highland Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Smith of Bullhead City, three aunts; a special friend, Edgar Vaughn of Santa Ana, Calif.

and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Shamburger Suggs Taylor and her father, Thomas E. "Tommy" Suggs. RONNIE BOURNE PETAL Ronnie Bourne, 53, died Oct. 16, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center.

Services were held Oct. 19 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Bourne was vice president of Bourne Brother's Printing for 22 years and was member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his parents, Juanita Sanford of Petal; his father, Harry H.

Bourne of Scottsdale, two sons, Larry Ronald Bourne, Jr. and Joshua Todd Bourne, both of Petal; a sister, Judy Adams of Petal; four brothers, Jim Bourne of Brooklyn, Donnie Bourne and Philip Thrower, both of Hattiesburg and Billy Bourne of Petal and one granddaughter. MILDRED P. COWART PURVIS Mildred P. Cowart, 79, died Oct.

16, 2005, at her home. Services were Oct. 18 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis with burial in Cowart Cemetery. Mrs. Cowart was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry Cowart and Bobby Cowart, both of Idabel, OK; Charles Edmond Cowart of Purvis; and William Mickey Cowart of Haworth, OK; four daughters, Deijri Galjour of Purvis, Mary Sumrall of Ellisville, Cheryl Chiles of Georgia and Marilyn Morton of Idabel, OK; three sisters, Carolyn Smith of Lucedale, Mary Ann Williams of Wilmer, AL and Evelyn Brewer of Huntsville, two brothers, Frank Piercy of Wilmer, AL; and Edmond Piercy of FL; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Cowart. JAMES MCDANIEL SEMINARY James McDaniel, 56, died Oct. 14, 2005, at Forrest General Hospital.

Services were Oct. 20 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with the Rev. Royce Odom officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery Mr. McDaniel worked in construction with South State Construction for 11 years, was a member of the Pentecostal faith and served in Army during Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Bonny McDaniel of Seminary; two sons, Cory McDaniel of Hattiesburg and James W. McDaniel of Purvis; two stepsons, Jimmy Dale Willis of Hattiesburg and William Odies Willis of Ky; four daughters, Deborah McDaniel: of Mobile; Tamara Moore and Morrine McDaniel, both of Purvis and Cody McDaniel of Hattiesburg; a stepdaughter, Connie Willis of Seminary; three sisters, Margaret West of Petal, Rose Childers of Moselle and Delores Higgins of Hot Coffee; three brothers, Johnny McDaniel of Seminary; Roy Lynn McDaniel of Petal and Johnny Simmons of Petal; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Buck McDaniel, Tim Carney, Shad West, Tommy McDaniel, Louie McDaniel, Timmy McDaniel, Keith McDaniel and Wayne Johnson. BOBINETTE KNIGHT SIMMONS HATTIESBURG Bobinette Knight Simmons, 80, died Oct. 17, 2005, at her home.

Graveside service were Oct. 21 at Highland Cemetery with Dr. Jon Stubblefield officiating. Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker and member of Main Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56. years, Shelly A. Simmons of Hattiesburg; a son, Al Simmons of Chattanooga, TN; two daughters, Sharmen Ogden of Charlotte, NC and Debbie Foster of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Virginia McGrew of Jackson and Olivia Brewer of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 17, 2005, at his home. Services were Oct. 20 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg with the Rev. Cliff Lazenby and Daniel Rainey officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Knight was in construction with C.J. Morgan, Inc for 20 years and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Mary More OBITS, Page 5.
