WILLIE FLYNT LAUREL Graveside services were held May 2, 2002, at Shows for Will Mae Parker Flynt, 82, of Laurel, who died April 30, 2002, in Laurel. Mrs. Flynt was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Laurel.

Survivors include two sisters-inlaw, Virginia Varner of Laurel and Jewel Pridgen of Hattiesburg. ETTA M. GONZALES HATTIESBURG Services were held May 4, 2002, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home for Etta Mae Johnson, 89, of Hattiesburg, who died May 1, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital. Interment was in Roseland Park Cemetery. Ms.

Gonzales was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Gonzales. Survivors include one daughter, Nellie G. Phillips of Hattiesburg; two sister, Mamie Everetter of Mobile, and Margaret Culpepper Ladner of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

TOM HERRINGTON RICHTON Services were held May 4, 2002, at Jones Funeral Home in Richton for Tom Herrington, 88, of Richton, who died April 30, 2002, at his residence. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery. Mr. Herrington was a mechanic. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Powell of Ovett and Judith Wells of Petal; four sisters, Aline Anderson of New Orleans, Mildred Gable of Laurel, Faye Barnes of Hattiesburg, and Eva Williams of Soso; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

THAD LAMPTON MARION COUNTY Services were held May 3, 2002 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia for Thad Lampton, 93, of Marion County, who died May 1, 2002, at Marion General Hospital. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Lampton served in the U.S. Army and was a banker.

He was also of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include his wife, Tupper McClure Lampton; two daughters, Helene Lampton Thompson of Jackson and Tupper Allen of New Orleans; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. LELIA LANGLINAIS LAUREL Services were held on May 3, 2002, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel for Lelia Myzell Harper Langlinais, 78, of Laurel, who died May 1, 2002, at South Central Regional Medical Center. Services were held May 3, 2002, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hattiesburg, for Ethan Mark Albert, one day old, of Tuscaloosa, who died May 1, 2002, at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Bishop Brent Trussell and Bishop Blake Archibald officiated. Interment was in Dixie Cemetery. Scott and Chad Foote were pallbearers.

The infant is survived by his parents, Cory and Susan Albert of Tuscaloosa; grandparents, Charles and Janey Foote of Hattiesburg, and Roy and Deborah Albert of Gulfport; and a number of greatgrandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. JANIE H. ALSOBROOKS PURVIS Services were held May 3, 2002, at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune for Janie Harvis Alsobrooks, 86, of Purvis, who died May 1, 2002, at her residence. Interment was at New Palestine Cemetery. Mrs.

Alsobrooks was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Purvis. Survivors include two sons, David Alsobrooks of Florence and Wayne Alsobrooks of Purvis; two daughters, Barbara Gaddis of Clinton and Marilyn Engel King of West Columbia, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. KENT BERGERON SR. HEIDELBERG Services were held May 3, 2002, at Audubon Drive Bible Church in Laurel for Kent Bergeron 47, of Heidelberg, who died April 30, 2002, in Clarke County. Interment was at Corinth Baptist church Cemetery in Jasper County.

Mr. Bergeron was a truck driver with Jones Motor Company and was a member of Audubon Drive Baptist Church in Laurel. Survivors include his wife, Angela Marie Manning Bergeron; his mother, JoAnn Bergeron of Belle Chasse, one son, Kent Bergeron of Laurel; one daughter Olivia Ann Hancock of Laurel; and four grandchildren. WINNIE BLACKLEDGE VOSSBURG Graveside services were held May 3, 2002, at Vossburg Cemetery for Winnie Marie Martin Blackledge, 101, of Vossburg, who died April 30, 2002, at South Central Regional Medical Center. Mrs.

Blackledge was a retired merchant and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Heidelburg. Survivors include two daughters, Lois McCall of Bearden, and Earline Hinshaw of Vossburg; two sisters, Bertha Campbell of Georgia and Fannie Pittas of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. ANGELA BOUNDS DIXIE COMMUNITY Services were held May 2, 2002, for Angela Bounds, 29, of Dixie Community, who died April 28, 2002, at her home. The Rev. Bobby Holder, the Rev.

Lewis Trotter, and the Rev. Harvey Kelly officiated. Interment was in Dixie Cemetery. Pallbearers included Terry Davis, Ryan Davis, Hank Williams, John Williams, Johnny Spiers, and Mike Bryant. Honorary pallbearers were Adam Davis and Chris Williams.

Born in Laurel, Mrs. Bounds had lived in Hattiesburg for the past seven years where she was a hairdresser and cosmetologist. She was a member of Dixie Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her mother, Dora Ann Williams Weston. Survivors include her husband, Richard Bounds of Dixie Community; two sons, Hunter and Dawson Bounds, both of Dixie Community; her dad, Robert M.

Weston, of Milton, Fla; four sisters, Rachel Weston of Milton, Brittany Gibson, Crystal Gibson, and Mandy Gibson, all of Sumrall; and her grandparents, Eunice Williams and Angelia Gibson, both of Bassfield, and Nell Weston of Bayou LaBatre, Ala. PEARL BRIDGES HATTIESBURG Services were held May 3, 2002, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church for Pearl Bridges, 56, of Hattiesburg, who died April 28, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital. Interment was at Highland Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Reginald Bridges of Hattiesburg; two sons, Reginald Dewayne Bridges, and Honest Conerly III, both of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Elizabeth ConerlySmith and Glenda E. Conerly, both of Hattiesburg; two brothers, Jerry Arrington and Howard Toler, both of Hattiesburg; four sisters, Dianne Brown, Patsy Ann Arrington, Rose Marie Toler and Angela Walls, all of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

JUANITA E. BURAS POPLARVILLE Services were held April 28, 2002, at Crossroads Pentecostal Church for Juanita Eva Buras, 68, of Poplarville, who died April 25. 2002. at Wesley Medical Center. Mrs.

Buras was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Pearl River County. She was a member of the Church of The Lord Jesus Christ at Rock Ranch. Survivors include her husband, Miles Buras of Poplarville; seven sons, K.J. Buras of Kiln, Jesse James Euras of Picayune, Paul Casimi of Bogalusa, La, Ricky Miles Buras of Hillsdale, Dale Robinson Buras of Waveland, and Russell Buras of Poplarville; one daughter, Pamela Maxine Duncan of Varnado. La; two sisters, Elois Wheat and Hilma Williams, both of Crossroads, MS: four brothers.

Jessie Seal of Crossroads, Roland "Jr." Seal of Crossroads, W.J. Seal of Elizabeth, and David Seal of Florida; 41 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. EARLINE CARTER LAUREL Services were held on May 4, 2002, at First Baptist Church Laurel for Earline Carter, 61, of Laurel, who died May 1, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital. Interment was at Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel. Mrs.

Carter was an organist, secretary, and member of First Baptist Church of Laurel. Survivors include her husband, Troy Carter; one son, Wesley T. Carter of Covington, one daughter, Catherine Guy of Jackson; and one brother, Ray Ellison of Midland, Texas. VIRGINIA CHAUVIN LUMBERTON Services were held April 27, 2002, at White Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton for Mrs. Virginia Allen Chauvin, 70, of Lumberton, who died April 25, 2002.

at Prentiss Hospital. Interment was help at Rouse Field Cemetery. Mrs. Chauvin was a member of Olive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael W.

Pagle. Survivors include five daughters, Judy A. Seals of Hattiesburg, Linda S. Fry of Folsom, La, Sandra K. Racca of Lumberton, Theresa V.

Mills of Boston, MA, and Brenda G. Hickman of Lumberton; two sisters, Ineda Delancey of Lumberton and Ruth Swilley of Picayune; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. MAZIE A ORLANDO, FLA Services were held May 3, 2002, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home for Mazie Amanda Barwick Corban. 94, formerly of Hattiesburg, who died April 27, 2002, in Orlando, Fla. Interment was at Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Corbin was a retired school teacher in Petal and a former member of Petal Harvey Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. David W. Corban.

Survivors include one son, David A. Corban of Jackson; one daughter, Mary Lu Nelson of Winter Park, Fla; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. ALINE EASTERLING LAUREL Services were held May 2, 2002, al Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel for Aline Watson Easterling, 92, of Laurel, who died April 30, 2002, at her residence. Interment was at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mrs.

Easterling was a homemak- 2002, at her residence. three brothers, Lonnie King of Olathe, Bobby King of Colombia, S.C., and Douglas King of Jackson, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bro. Terry Stockman officiated. Interment was at Rester Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Lowery was a retired store manager and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona, MS. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Rester of Poplarville; one sister, Frances King of Winona; ELLIS R. MYRICK PETAL Services held 2002, at Funeral were May 1, Moore Home in Petal, for Ellis R. Myrick, of Petal who died April 29, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital.

The Rev. Bill Brown officiated the ceremony. Interment was in Forrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Harold Clyde Sauls, Jimmy Ready, Tony Ready, Mike Johnson, Richard Swilley, and Tracy Swilley. Born in Forrest County, Mr.

Myrick was retired from the timber industry as a sawmill worker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, served in the Philippine Islands, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Mary Swilley Myrick.

Survivors include his wife, Vashti Myrick of Petal; a daughter, Sylvia Ready of Petal; a son, Johnny Swilley of Hattiesburg; three stepdaughters, Lavonne Mooney, Sylvia Morgan, and Geraldine Bazor, all of Hattiesburg; a sister, Helen Sauls of Petal: seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and on great-great-grandchild. EUNA MAE PITTMAN PETAL tery in Jones County. Mrs. Langlinais was a homemaker and retired government employee, and was also a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Jones County. Survivors include her husband, Robley J.

Langlinais of Biloxi; one son, Ron Langlinais of Perkinston; one sister, Nina Ann Bartran of Laurel; four brothers, George W. Harper and Vaster Scott Harper, both of Laurel, Tommy Joe Harper of Ovett, and Harold Harper of Panama City, and one grandchild. LILLIUM ROSE LEE LAWSON HATTIESBURG Graveside services were held on April 29, 2002, at Morriston Cemetery in Petal, for Lillium Rose Lee Lawson, 92, of Hattiesburg, who died April 27, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital. John Novick officiated. Pallbearers were Roland Dunnam, Pat Kelly, Van Etten, Harold Polk, and McDavid Cochran.

Born in Richton, Mrs. Lawson was a longtime resident of Forrest County where she was a homemaker and a member of the World Wide Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lawson. Survivors include a son, Leon McSwain of Lux; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. CHARLES D.

LOWERY MOBILE Services were held for May 2, 2002, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel for Charles D. Lowery, 88, of Mobile, who died April 30, 2002, at Mobile Infirmary. Interment was at Union Seminary Cemetery in Jasper County. Mr. Lowery was a bus driver for the city of Mobile and was a member of Meadowlake Baptist Church in Mobile, Ala.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Lowery; one son, Stanley Eugene Amos of Mobile, Ala; two sisters, Gladys Helton and Helen Yates, both of Johnson City, and one grandchild. JAMIE SUE LOWERY POPLARVILLE Services were help on May 2, 2002, at Rester Family Cemetery for Mrs. Jamie Sue Lowery, 66, of Poplarville, who died on April 30, Services were held on May 2002, at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, for Euna Mae Pittman, 79, of Petal, who died May 1. 2002, ac Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg. The Rev.

Jimmie Garrard and the Rev. Bobby Shurden officiated. Interment was at Green's Creel: Cemetery. Pallbearers included Alfred Claude Pittman, Bill Brumfiel Herb Lane, Danny Edwards, Rick. Patrick, and Mike Posey.

Born in Lamar County, Mrs. Pittman moved to Petal in 1954 where she resided until a year ago when she entered the nursing: home. She was a homemaker an a member of Carterville Baptis Church. Survivors include her husband, Wendell Pittman, of Petal; two sons, Wendell Pittman, and Donald Pittman, both of Petal; two sisters, Ruby Kendrick of Mobile, and Audrey Lee of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews. GEORGIA SIMMONS LAUREL Services were held May 4, 2002.

at Voice of Truth Church for Geol gia Mae Simmons, 62, of Laurel, who died April 26, 2002, at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
